- Choose to listen when you will not be interrupted and you’re not focussed on anything else (for instance, don’t listen while driving or operating machinery).
- The audios aren’t long and that is part of their design and effectiveness– so make a point of listening twice a day for the first 21 days at least.
- If it’s safe for you to do so, close your eyes when you listen.
- Be warm and comfortable when you listen, so that your body can relax.
- As often as possible, listen at the same or similar times of day or night, because it helps to teach your body to relax when you want it to.
- Keep a journal so that at any time during the day (or night) you can note any new insights, ideas or new perspectives that come to mind.
- Treat your relaxation time as a priority. It may only be 15 or 20 minutes, but it’s for YOU and you matter. Honestly – every little helps and stress management teachers agree that 10 – 20 minutes a day is very effective.
